Why Your Story Matters

We believe every follower of Jesus has a story worth telling. Maybe you’re just starting to explore faith, maybe you’ve followed Jesus for years, or maybe you’re coming back after a long time away. Wherever you are, your story can remind someone else that they’re not alone and that God is still at work.

You don’t need a perfect story or perfect words. You just need to be honest about what God has done and is doing in your life.

You don’t have to answer all of these. They’re just here to help you get started.

Your story can be as simple or as detailed as you’d like. Here are some prompts to help you think it through:
  • What was life like before this change?
  • What did God use to get your attention? (a person, a moment, a service, a group, a crisis, a prayer)
  • How has Jesus changed your perspective, your relationships, or your everyday life?
  • Is there a specific way Greenwood Christian Church has played a part in your journey?
  • What are you learning about God right now?
How Sharing Works

How Sharing Works

Sharing your story is simple. Just fill out the form below with as much detail as you’re comfortable giving. A member of our team will read your story, pray for you, and follow up if we’d like to feature it in a service, on our website, or on social media.

What To Expect

Step 1: Share your story using the form.
Step 2: Our team reads and prays over what you’ve shared.
Step 3: If we hope to share your story publicly, we’ll contact you first to talk through details and get your permission.

Not a Writer? No Problem.

You don’t have to be a great writer or speaker to share your story. Just be yourself. Write like you’d talk to a friend over coffee. If it’s easier, you can share bullet points or a rough outline and our team can help shape it into something we can share.

If you’d rather tell your story on video, just let us know in the form. We’d be happy to follow up and help you share it on camera.

Your Privacy Matters

We take your story seriously. Everything you share will be seen first by our staff or story team. We will never share your full story publicly without your permission. If there are parts of your story you’d like to keep private, you can note that in the form.
