Look Beyond
is the Phase III expansion of the Greenwood Christian Church campus to allow us to become a destination for transformation in our community.Why is Phase III being called Look Beyond?
We want each of us to Look Beyond the spaces being built to see how God will use them to change lives through connecting people:
› To Look Beyond our coffee and common areas to see people connecting in Christ–centered relationships,
› To Look Beyond the new worship center and added space to witness many new people connecting with God in a personal saving relationship,
› To Look Beyond the Children’s and Youth areas to envision a continuing legacy of young Christian men and women impacting the world for Jesus,
› To Look Beyond what we can do alone to see what God can do through us.
What is the projected cost of Phase III?
The projected cost of Phase III is approximately 6.5 million dollars. The Look Beyond campaign seeks to take the largest step possible in raising the financial support necessary in reaching that goal.
What is expected of me?
First – pray. Ask God to direct your steps of faith. Ask God what he wants to do through you – His grace working through your faith. And then listen for His answer.
What should a capital gift be?
"Not equal gifts, but equal sacrifice" is the phrase that best describes our understanding of stewardship. It states the biblical principle of proportionate giving. Few of us have the resources to make a million dollar gift, but every person can make a prayerful, sacrificial gift. We encourage an equal sense of commitment and sacrifice throughout our congregation with each person prayerfully determining his or her own gift.
